BURGLARY-ARREST, 8/25/2010, 200 block of N. Thomas Street. On August 25 at 3 am, an intoxicated male broke into an apartment through a window. He was located by police. Hector Leon Castro, 21, of Arlington, was charged with Burglary. He was held on a $10,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 8/25/2010, 2900 block of Wilson Boulevard. On August 24 at 4:30 pm, a man was assaulted by a former roommate.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 8/25/2010, 3400 block of Washington Boulevard. On August 24 at 8:15 am, an unknown suspect entered the grocery store, became irate and assaulted an employee. He also destroyed items in the store. The suspect is described as a 30-year-old white male with a ponytail, 6' tall. He was last seen wearing a cream-colored shirt, tan pants and a black hat.

DISCHARGE A FIREARM-ARREST, 8/25/2010, 3000 block of S. Randolph Street. On August 24 at 2 am, an intoxicated male threw a chair through his apartment window and discharged a weapon inside as well. No one was injured. James Stensland, 53, of Arlington, was charged with Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm in an Occupied Dwelling. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

ATTEMPT SEXUAL BATTERY, 8/25/2010, 4300 block of Fairfax Drive. On August 24 at 3:45 pm, a woman was walking in a parking garage when an unknown suspect reached under her skirt. The suspect fled when she yelled. He is described as an African American male in his late 20s, 5'8" wearing dark clothing.

LATE ROBBERY, 8/25/2010, 400 block of N. Glebe Road. On August 22 at 10 am, an unknown male stole a purse from a woman standing at a bus stop. The suspect was a 40 year-old African American male, 6' and 160 lbs. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt and black pants.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 8/24/2010, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On August 23 between 10 am and 11 am, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in the same parking garage and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 8/24/2010, 1200 block of N. Stafford Street. On August 21 at 3 am, a woman was walking while talking on her cell phone when an unknown man pulled her to the ground. When she started screaming, he fled the area. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20s with a medium height and build.

ATTEMPT GRAND LARCENY AUTO (SERIES), 8/23/2010, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. Between 7:30 pm on August 21, and 9 am on August 22, an unknown subject broke into three vehicles at a car dealership and attempted to steal them. There are no known suspects.

PEEPING TOM, 8/23/2010, 1600 block of N. 21st Street. On August 22 at 10:30 pm, a woman noticed an unknown person peering into her apartment. There is no suspect description.

PEEPING TOM, 8/23/2010, 1600 block of N. 21st Street. On August 21 at 12:50 am, a witness saw an unknown man looking in apartment windows. The suspect was a tall and thin white male in his 20s wearing a dark t-shirt and shorts.

PEEPING TOM, 8/23/2010, 1200 block of N. Quinn Street. On August 21 at 2:45 am, a woman heard a noise outside her bedroom window. When she looked outside, a man wearing light colored pants fled from the area.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/23/2010, 4700 block of N. Carlin Springs Road. On August 22 at 10 pm, a man assaulted another man attempting to walk past him on a sidewalk. Salvador Cornejo, 47, Falls Church, was charged with Assault and battery. He was held on a $1,000 bond.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 8/23/2010, 700 block of N. Wayne Street. On August 22 at 2:15 am, an unknown man approached a woman from behind and put his hand up her skirt. The victim confronted the suspect and he apologized and left the area. The suspect is described as an African American male in his late 20s, 5'7", wearing a black tank top and dark basketball shorts.

ROBBERY-ARREST, 8/23/2010, 2100 block of S. Pollard Stree.t On August 21 at 12:40 am, three men assaulted another man and stole money. Two suspects were apprehended. Jose Chavez Flores, 31, of Arlington, and Henry Guzman Alvarado, 37, of Arlington, were both charged with Robbery. They were held without bond.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 8/20/2010, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. On August 19 between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, an unknown subject entered at least two vehicles by smashing out a window in each, and stole cash. There are no known suspects.

DEATH INVESTIGATION, 8/20/2010, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On August 19 at 8 pm, a woman fell several stories from a mall parking garage. She was transported to a local hospital and died. The investigation is ongoing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/19/2010, 4400 block of Four Mile Run Drive. On August 19 at 2 am, officers responded to a domestic assault. When officers attempted to arrest the suspect, he forcibly took a flashlight from an officer, and continued to resist arrest. Carlos Noel Pietri Vargas, 21, of Arlington, was charged with Domestic Assault and Battery, Resisting Arrest, Disarming a Law Enforcement Officer, and Obstruction of Justice. He was held on a $2,500 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/19/2010, 600 block of N. Glebe Road On August 19 at 12:30 am, a man was punched by a female suspect. Julia Thompson, 21, of Falls Church, was charged with Assault and Battery. She was held on a $3,500 bond.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY-SERIES, 8/18/2010, 5300-5400 blocks of N. 11th Street. Between 6:30 pm on August 16, and 8:30 am on August 17, six vehicles in the same area were vandalized. There are no known suspects.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT-ARREST, 8/18/2010, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. On August 18 at 1:30 am, officers responded for a large group of people acting in a disorderly manner. One subject refused to return home. Marcus Massie, 22, of Arlington was charged with Disorderly Conduct and being Drunk in Public. He was released when sober.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 8/17/2010, 1700 block of N. Glebe Road. On August 16 between 1 am and 3 am, an unknown attempted to enter a house by kicking in a door. Entry was not gained and there are no known suspects.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF AN AUTOMOBILE-ARREST, 8/17/2010, 1000 block of N. Edison Street. On August 16 at 2:45 pm, a man took his ex-girlfriend's vehicle without permission. When police located him in the vehicle, he fled on foot, but was apprehended. Jose Dominguez, 35, of Silver Spring, MD, was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated and Eluding Police. He was held on a $2,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 8/17/2010, 2300 block of Columbia Pike. On August 17 at 2 am, a man was assaulted by two unknown men after stopping them from arguing with a gas station clerk. The suspects fled in a blue Toyota sedan. The suspects were both African American males in the 20s. The first suspect was 5'9", 180 lbs, had a goatee, and was wearing a white t-shirt and a light blue baseball hat. The second suspect was 5'10", 165 lbs, and was wearing a brown t-shirt and jean shorts.

LARCENY FROM AUTO-ARREST, 8/16/2010, 2800 block of S. 28th Street. On August 14 at 5:40 pm, a woman observed a man reach into her unoccupied vehicle, steal her purse, and flee. The suspect was apprehended. Michael Doctor, 40, of Alexandria, was charged with Attempted Larceny and Larceny. He was held on a $3,500 bond.

BURGLARY, 8/16/2010, Unit block of N. Oakland Street. Between 5 pm on August 11 at, and 7 pm on August 15, an unknown suspect used force to gain entry into a residence. There are no known suspects.

ROBBERY, 8/16/2010, 600 block of S. Carlin Springs Road. On August 14 at 4 pm, a woman at a bus stop was approached by an unknown man who demanded her purse. After a brief struggle, the male gained control of the purse and fled on foot. The suspect is described as being an African American male, 5'9" with a slim build, wearing a white tank top, grey shorts and a black skullcap.

ROBBERY-ARREST, 8/16/2010, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On August 14 at 6:15 pm, a security guard attempted to stop a subject from leaving the store with concealed merchandise. The suspect pushed the security guard out of the way and fled the store. Gregory Hines, 65, of Washington D.C., was charged with Robbery. He was held on a $20,000 bond.

BANK ROBBERY-ARREST, 8/16/2010, 1000 block of N. Stafford Street. On August 14 at 10:20 am, a man passed a note at a bank demanding money. He apprehended outside the bank by police. Richard Jones, 54, of Arlington, was charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT BY MOB, 8/16/2010, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. On August 15 at 2:30 am, a man was grabbed and assaulted by four to five Hispanic male suspects after argument in a bar. The suspects were all described as being 5'6" to 5'7" and 165lbs.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 8/13/2010, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. Between 6 pm on August 8, and noon on August 12, an unknown subject attempted to enter an apartment by cutting the screen to a window. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 8/13/2010, 3400 block of N. Potomac Street. On August 12 between 2 pm and 5 pm, an unknown person broke into a house through a window. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY, 8/13/2010, 6600 block of N. Little Falls Road. Between 10 pm on August 11, and 6:30 am on August 12, an unknown subject broke into a school through a window. There are no known suspects.

INDECENT EXPOSURE-ARREST, 8/13/2010, 2100 block of N. Military Road. On August 12 at 4:50 pm, an officer observed a man exposing himself. David Blankenship, 30, of no fixed address, was charged with Indecent Exposure. He was held without bond.

ROBBERY, 8/13/2010, 1300 block of S. Pollard Street. On August 13 at 11:10 pm, three unknown men approached a man walking on his own. They assaulted him and went through his pockets. The suspects are described men in their early 20?s. One suspect was a white male, 6'2", 185 lbs. wearing blue shorts and a white t-shirt. The other two suspects were African American males. One wore his hair in dreadlocks.

MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING-ARREST, 8/12/2010, 5100 block S. 8th Road. On August 11 at 10 pm, a woman threw a ring of keys through the living room window in an attempt to hit the male inside. Makeba Sturge, 23, of Arlington, was charged with Throwing a Missile Into an Occupied Dwelling, and given a $500 bond.

INDECENT EXPOSURE-ARREST, 8/12/2010, 1000 block S. Hayes Street. On August 11 at 6:30 pm, a man exposed himself inappropriately to another male in a restroom. Roni Sorto-Varela, 33, of Hyattsville, MD, was charged with Indecent Exposure. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 8/12/2010, 200 block N. Manchester Street. On August 11 at 4 pm, an officer responded for a parking complaint, and discovered that the owner of the car was wanted. The suspect assaulted the officer and attempted to flee. He was arrested at the scene. Jose Santos Vasquez, 35, of Arlington, was charged with Assault on a Police Officer and was served with the warrant for Working Without a License. He was held on a $3,500 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 8/12/2010, 1500 block Arlington Boulevard. On August 11 at 5 am, a woman was kicked and punched by her boyfriend, who was later found at the metro. Tyrone Jackson, 30, of Capital Heights, MD, was charged with Malicious Wounding and held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 8/12/2010, 2800 block of Wilson Boulevard. On August 11 at 1:40 am, two men got into a physical altercation. One of the men threw the other to the ground and kicked him repeatedly. Paul Brooks, 30, of Alexandria, was charged with Malicious Wounding and Possession of Marijuana. He was held without bond.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 8/11/2010, 3300 block of S. Wakefield Street. Between 10 pm on August 9, and 9 pm on August 10, an unknown suspect broke the rear windows of two vehicles parked in the area. No items were taken and there are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 8/11/2010, 4600 block of Four Mile Run Drive. Between 8 pm on August 9, and 3:45 am on August 10, an unknown suspect broke into two vehicles and stole stereos. The suspect was described as an African American or Hispanic male with dreadlocks.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 8/11/2010, 2700 block of S. Cleveland Street. On August 10 at 9:40 pm, a woman was assaulted by a known acquaintance of her daughter. The victim was pushed and scratched by the suspect.

ATTEMPT MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 8/11/2010, 5600 block of N. Carlin Springs Road. On August 10 at 3 pm, a man reported to have been assaulted with a box cutter. The encounter occurred after a minor accident involving the victim and suspect. The suspect is described as a 35-year-old white Hispanic male, 5'8" to 5'9" and 200 lbs.

BURGLARY, 8/10/2010, 1700 block of Arlington Ridge Road. Between 1 pm on August 7, and 5:30 pm on August 8, an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim's home and stole two laptops and a vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered, but there are no known suspects.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 8/10/2010, 1400 block of N. Barton Street. On August 9 at 4 pm, a man was carrying computer equipment when two unknown men approached him and tried to forcefully steal his laptop. The victim fought them and they ran away. The suspects were both white Hispanic teenagers. One suspect was wearing a white tank top, jeans and had a shaved head. The second suspect was wearing a blue tank top, blue shorts and he had spiked hair.

ROBBERY, 8/10/2010, 4600 block of S. 36th Street. On August 10 at 12:45 am, a woman was approached from behind by three African American males in their twenties. One of the suspects stole the victim's purse from her shoulder. The first suspect was 5'5", thin, and wore a bandana, black t-shirt and baggy jeans. The second suspect was 6'2" and thin with dark hair. The third suspect was 5'8" with shoulder length dreadlocks, a white tank top, baggy jeans and a hat.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 8/9/2010, 1900 block of N. Quebec Street. On August 6 between 6:30 am and 6:15 pm, an unknown subject entered a house through an open window. No property was taken and there are no suspects.

BURGLARY, 8/9/2010, 2800 block of Washington Boulevard. Between 8 pm on August 5, and 9 am on August 6, an unknown subject used force to break into the car dealership and stole fifteen car keys. There are no known suspects.

PEEPING TOM-ARREST, 8/9/2010, 4100 block of N. Henderson Road. On August 7 at 5 am, a man reported that he observed a male looking into several windows. Javier Ramirez-Ramirez, 25, of Arlington, was charged with Peeping into an Occupied Dwelling. He was held on a $3,500 bond.

ASSAULT-ARREST, 8/9/2010, 1700 block of N. Lynn Street. On August 6 at 6:30 am, a garage attendant was standing between a garage door and a car explaining the hours of the garage when the suspect struck him with his vehicle. Evelio Velasco, 63, of Centreville, was released on a summons for Assault and Battery.

ROBBERY, 8/9/2010, 1000 block of S. Joyce Street. On August 8 at 10 pm, a man was approached by two unknown men. One of the suspects pushed the victim to the ground and the second male took his wallet. The suspects were described as African American males, 6' tall and in their twenties. They were last seen wearing black shirts and blue jeans.

ROBBERY, 8/9/2010, 2700 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On August 7 at 5:30 pm, an unknown man entered the Apple Store, concealed several phones and assaulted a female employee when he left the store. The suspect is described as an African American male in his twenties, 5'10" and 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing a grey or white t-shirt with blue shorts.

ROBBERY, 8/9/2010, 1800 block of N. Veitch Street. On August 7 at 11:30 pm, a woman was pushed down from behind and her purse was stolen. The suspect implied a weapon when the woman's boyfriend attempted to approach him. The suspect is described as a 30-year-old African American male, 5'9" and 170 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a green t-shirt with a colorful graphic on the front.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 8/9/2010, 3500 block of S. 23rd Street. On August 6 at 11 am, a man was assaulted by a known subject. The victim was punched and kicked several times, causing severe wounds to his face.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 8/6/2010, 2300 block of N. 11th Street. Between 11:30 pm on August 4, and 8:30 am on August 5, an unknown subject tried to enter an apartment by breaking a window. There is no suspect description.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 8/6/2010, 2600 block of N. 9th Street. On August 4 at 10 pm, a woman was walking down the sidewalk when an unknown man approached her. The suspect grabbed the victim's breast, and then fled when she screamed. The suspect is described as an Asian male, 5'6" and 130 lbs.

PEEPING TOM, 8/5/2010, 5300 block of Carlin Springs Road. On August 5 at 3:40 am, a man awoke to find an unknown man standing in the window well outside his bedroom, looking inside. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s with an average build. The suspect left the scene in a dark sedan.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/5/2010, 2300 block of N. Pershing Drive. On August 4 at 1:15 pm, a manager pushed one of his employees. Wesam Hashish, 35, of Sterling, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was released on a summons at the scene.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 8/4/2010, 1400 block of Lee Highway. On July 29, at 12:30 am, a female was approached by an unknown male who asked for directions. During their conversation, the male grabbed the woman's buttocks. The female walked away and called police. The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years old, 5'7" and 140-150 lbs, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with dark blue running shorts.

POSSESSION WITH INTENT (MARIJUANA)/CONCEALED WEAPON, 8/4/2010, 1800 block of George Mason Drive. On August 3 at 10:15 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was suspended and fled the area on foot. Marijuana and a concealed handgun were located at the scene.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 8/4/2010, 5000 block of S. 11th Street. Between noon on August 2, and 8 am on August 3, an unknown subject attempted to enter a house by breaking a rear window. Entry to the house was not gained.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 8/4/2010, 4000 block of S. 8th Street. On August 3 at 10:45 am, a juvenile runaway broke into a house and attempted to steal numerous property. He was apprehended and detained.

INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT, 8/4/2010, 2500 block of S. 9th Street. On August 3 at 3:20 pm, a construction worker fell in an apparent accident. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 8/3/2010, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On August 2, between 11 am and 1 pm, and unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles inside a parking garage and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY, 8/3/2010, 1300 block of S. Quincy Street. On August 2 between 1 pm and 3 pm, an unknown person entered a house stole various items. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY, 8/3/2010, 2300 block of Clarendon Boulevard. Between 7 pm on July 31, and 9 am on August 2, an unknown subject broke into an office suite and stole several lap top computers. There is no suspect description.

EXPOSURE, 8/3/2010, 1400 block of N. Taft Street. On August 2 at 9:30 pm, a woman witnessed an unknown man expose himself while walking on a sidewalk. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 40s, 5'5". He was wearing a striped polo shirt and dark jeans.

PWID MARIJUANA-ARREST, 8/2/2010, I-395 South at Glebe Road. An officer observed a female walking on the shoulder of I-395 and initiated a subject stop. The officer recovered several baggies of marijuana from the subject. Pelaralyss Young, 22, of Alexandria, was charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute. She was held without bond.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 8/2/2010, 5700 S. 1st Street. On August 1, between 10:30 am and 2:45 pm, and unknown subject attempted to enter an apartment through a window. Entry was not gained. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY, 8/2/2010, 4800 block of S. 13th Road. On July 31 at 5 am, the victim's ex-boyfriend entered her apartment without permission while she slept.

PEEPING TOM-ARREST, 8/2/2010, 1700 block of N. Rhodes Street. On August 2 at 11:45 pm, the victim observed a male looking into his living room window. The suspect fled in his vehicle, but located by police. Jeffrey Hoffman, 50, of Arlington, was charged with Peeping into a Dwelling. He was held on a $3,000 bond.

PEEPING TOM-ARREST, 8/2/2010, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. On July 30 at 10 pm, a witness observed a male looking in the window of an apartment building. Pablo A. Martinez, 36, of no fixed address, was charged with Peeping into a Dwelling. He was held on a $1,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/2/2010, 2700 block of S. Nelson Street. On July 31 at 8 pm, a man was punched and kicked several times by the suspect. The suspect was deceitful when providing his information. He was charged with Assault and Battery, under the name John Doe, and held without bond.

SEXUAL BATTERY-ARREST, 8/2/2010, 1800 block of N. Adams Street. On August 1 at 1 am, a woman was walking home when a male jogger ran past her and grabbed her breast. The man was later detained and identified. David Goodwin, 46, of Arlington, was charged with Sexual Battery. He was held on a $10,000 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 8/2/2010, 1200 block of N. Quinn Street. On August 1 at 12:20 am, officers responded for a fight amongst roommates. A verbal altercation resulted in the victim suffering a stab wound to her leg. Dora Zelada-Hernandez, 31, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. She was held without a bond.

ROBBERY, 8/2/2010, 1800 block of S. 9th Street. On August 1 at 4 am, a woman was approached by an unknown man and woman. The female slapped the victim and took her purse, while the male grabbed her cell phone. Both suspects were African American, approximately 18-20 years old, 5'9 and 150-170 lbs, wearing dark sweatshirts.

BURGLARY, 7/30/2010, 900 block of N. McKinley Road. Between 8 am on July 23, and 2 pm on July 28, an unknown person broke into a residence through a basement window and stole money. There is no suspect description.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 7/29/2010, 800 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive. On July 28 at 11:30 pm, six vehicles in the same block were found with broken windows. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 7/29/2010, 1400 block of N. 12th Street. On July 28 at 6:30 pm, a suspect was observed trying to pry open the rear door to an apartment building. After a foot pursuit, the subject was apprehended by a Ft. Myer officer. Dennis C. Miller, 45, of no fixed address, was charged with Burglary and Possession of Burglarious Tools. He was held without bond.

ROBBERY-ARREST, 7/29/2010, 2400 block of S. Glebe Road. On July 28 at 8 pm, a man entered a hotel, implied a handgun and demanded money from the female working at the register. The suspect fled in a vehicle with an additional male. Officers located the vehicle and it fled into Alexandria City. Leslie Parker, 42, of Clinton, MD, and Ronald Sizemore, 28, of Washington D.C., were charged with Robbery and Grand Larceny. They were held without bond.

BURGLARY, 7/27/2010, 3900 block of N. 4th Street. On July 26 between 10:30 am and 11:30 am, an unknown subject gained entry into the victim?s apartment and stole electronic items. There is no suspect information.

BURGLARY, 7/27/2010, 3400 block of S. Glebe Road. On July 25 between 9:15 pm and 9:45 pm, a former employee gained entry into the warehouse from a side door and stole wire.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 7/27/2010, 200 block of N. Barton Street. On July 27 at 2:30 am, a woman was assaulted by a male acquaintance after a verbal argument.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/26/2010, 4200 block of Campbell Avenue. On July 24 at 4:30 pm, several cars were tampered with and one GPS was stolen. The suspects are described as teenage African American males wearing dark clothing and carrying backpacks.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/26/2010, 3000 block of S. Abingdon Street. Between 9 pm on July 23, and 8 am on July 24, several cars had their windows broken and items stolen from inside the vehicles. There is no suspect information.

GRAND LARCENY-ARREST, 7/26/2010, 1600 block of N. George Mason Drive. On July 25 at 5 am, a female was caught trying to steal narcotics from the hospital. She was also found to be in possession of stolen property from another incident. Valadaikia Head, 29, of Atlanta, GA, was charged with two counts of Grand Larceny, and held on $10,000 bond.

BURGLARY, 7/26/2010, 1800 block of S. George Mason Drive. On July 25, between 2 pm and 11 pm, the victim returned home to find the side door to his house open. Several items were out of place. There is no suspect information.

BURGLARY, 7/26/2010, 2800 block of S. Meade Street. On July 25 at 7 pm, an unknown subject entered the residence through a defective front door and stole the victim?s purse. There is no suspect information.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/26/2010, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On July 25 at 2 am, after a verbal altercation, two men were assaulted by two unknown males. Edgardo Fonseca, 26, of Round Hill, and Daniel Salas, 26, of Springfield, were charged with Assault and Battery. Mr. Fonseca was given no bond, and Mr. Salas was given a $5,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/26/2010, 4700 block of Columbia Pike. On July 24 at 8:45 am, a metro bus operator was assaulted by a customer after a fair dispute. Jerry Shannon, 55, of Annandale, was charged with Assault and Battery and released on a $1,500 bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB-ARREST, 7/26/2010, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. On July 24 at 2 am, a man was beaten by three men using belts. Two of the suspects were captured and subsequently charged with Malicious Wounding by Mob. Mefy Lopez-Martinez, 26, of Arlington, and Bayron Rivas-Gomez, 27, of Arlington, were both held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 7/26/2010, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. On July 25 at 11:45 pm, a man was struck with a brick to the head by two other males. One suspect, Mauricio de Jesus Barahona-Mejia, 20, of Fairfax, was captured and charged with Malicious Wounding. He is being held without bond.

BURGLARY, 7/23/2010, 1800 block of N. Rolfe Street. On July 22, between 11 am and 4:45 pm, an unknown subject entered an apartment through a window and stole a laptop computer. There is no suspect description.

ROBBERY, 7/23/2010, 2100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On July 22 at 6 pm, an unknown man approached a woman walking and forcibly pulled her purse from her shoulder. The suspect then fled on foot. He was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5?10? and 185 lbs. The suspect was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and jeans.

LATE BURGLARY, 7/22/2010, 2600 block of Marcey Road. Between June 28 and July 4, an unknown subject entered a residence and stole cash and a lap top computer. There are no known suspects.

INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT, 7/22/2010, 1200 block of N. Courthouse Road. On July 21, at 11 am, a construction worker fell seven stories after the railing he was working on broke loose. Wilmer Lopez, 35, of Springfield, died on impact.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/22/2010, 900 block of N. Wayne Street. On July 21, at 10 pm, while standing in a parking space, a man purposely reversed his vehicle into someone standing in a parking space. William Reintzel Jr., 39, of Arlington was charged with Assault and Battery and held on a $2000.00 bond.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST, 7/21/2010, 800 block of Army Navy Drive. On July 20 at 1 pm, an officer located a stolen license plate during an accident investigation. Amia Reeder, 26, of District Heights, MD, was charged with Possession of Stolen Property. She was released on a summons.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST, 7/21/2010, 1900 block of N. Cameron Street. On July 19 at 5 pm, officers observed a vehicle bearing a stolen tag. Upon subsequent traffic stop and investigation, the subject was also found to be in possession of narcotics. Deonte Bell, 25, of Arlington, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Stolen Property, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Driving Revoked. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE-ARREST, 7/20/2010, 700 block of S. 15th Street. On July 19 at 4:30 pm, during a traffic stop investigation, the officer determined that both the driver and his girlfriend had lied about their identities to avoid existing criminal charges. Lorenzo Wanzor, 23, of Washington D.C., and Leanise Williams, 28, of Washington D.C., were charged with Failure to Identify themselves and Obstruction of Justice. Each was held on a secured bond of $3,000.00.

ASSAULT, 7/20/2010, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On July 19 at 2 am, the victim was punched by an unknown subject, as he stood outside of the establishment. Zoubir Chenini, 29, of Arlington, was charged with Simple Assault and Public Intoxication. He was given no bond.

BURGLARY, 7/20/2010, 1000 block of N. Utah Street. Between the dates of July 16 and July 19, an unknown suspect forced entry into a maintenance office and stole cash and several items of value. There is no suspect description at this time.

TAMPERING WITH AUTO, 7/20/2010, 3500 block of S. 14th Street. On July 18 at 11:30 pm, the victim observed an unknown subject inside of his unlocked vehicle. The suspect fled on foot after confronted by the victim. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5'5" and 130 lbs.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY-ARREST, 7/19/2010, 1600 block of Wilson Boulevard. On July 17 at 9 pm, an officer observed a male subject breaking glass at a gas station. Upon confronting the subject, he became aggressive. Darryl Goodwin, 48, of no fixed address, was charged with Destruction of Property and Resisting Arrest. He was released on summons.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO-ARREST, 7/19/2010, 1700 block of S. Taylor Street. On July 17 at 1:30 am after receiving a report of a grand larceny of an auto, an officer obtained a warrant for the suspect. He later found and arrested, Eber Duran-Blanco, 25, of Washington DC. The subject was charged with Grand Larceny and Fail to Appear, and held without bond.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/19/2010, 1000 block of Walter Reed Drive. On July 16 at 6 am, several vehicles were found with windows broken and items stolen. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/19/2010, 600 block of N. Manchester Street. On July 16, between 9 pm and 10:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into several vehicles and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/19/2010, 1500 block of Key Boulevard. Between late evening on July 15, and 11 am on July 18, several vehicles in a parking garage had windows damaged and items taken. There are no known suspects.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 7/19/2010, 800 block of S. 18th Street. Between the late evening hours of July 16, and 2 pm on July 17, an unknown subject attempted to break into an office building by forcing a door open. The attempt was unsuccessful, and there are no known suspects.

BURGLARY, 7/19/2010, 4000 block of N. 9th Street. Between July 15 and July 17, an unknown person entered a vacant apartment and stole currency. There are no known suspects.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 7/19/2010, 4200 block of Columbia Pike. On July 17 at 11:30 pm, a man was assaulted by a cab driver after a dispute over payment. The driver is described as a Middle Eastern male, 5'9" and 165 lbs. He was operating a gray minivan taxi.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/19/2010, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On July 17 at 2 am, a male victim was assaulted by another man. Edward Tatum, 22, of Woodbridge, was charged with Simple Assault. He was held on a $4,000 secured bond.

BRANDISHING-ARREST, 7/19/2010, 1400 block of S. Nelson Street. On July 16 at 6:40 pm, a man brandished a weapon at his neighbor and retreated into his house. He refused to exit the house for over 16 hours. Thomas Amshey, 58, of Arlington, was charged with brandishing, Assault, and Obstruction of Justice. He was held without bond.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 7/16/2010, 3200 block of N. 6th Street and the 500 blocks of N. Ivy and Lincoln Streets. Between late evening on July 14, and 6:30 am on July 15, numerous vehicles on several streets were spray painted with white paint. There are no known suspects.

GRAND LARCENY, 7/16/2010, 4900 block of S. Chesterfield Road. On July 15, between the hours of 10:00 am and 1 pm, an unknown subject stole two catalytic converters from a truck. There is no known suspect description.

INDECENT LIBERTIES-ARREST, 7/16/2010, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. At 7 pm on July 15, a male exposed himself to a female that was a minor. Alfredo Rodriguez Martinez, 50, of no fixed address, was charged with Taking Indecent Liberties with a Minor, Exposure, and Public Intoxication. He was held without a bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/15/2010, 4100 block of N. 40th Street. At approximately 8 pm on July 14, after a verbal altercation, one male punched the other causing a physical fight. Michael Post, 40, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was released on a summons.

BURGLARY, 7/15/2010, 3900 block of N. Upland Street. At approximately 10:45 am on July 14, an unknown subject forced entry into the victim's home and stole several thousand dollars worth of personal jewelry. There is no known suspect description

BURGLARY, 7/15/2010, 4300 block of N. 2nd Road. Between 10 pm on July 13, and 7 am on July 14, an unknown suspect cut the screen to the victim's bedroom window, entered the apartment and stole a laptop. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 7/14/2010, 6900 block of Fairfax Drive. Between 5 pm on July 12, and 7:30 am on July 13, an unknown subject broke into an automotive business. There are no known suspects.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 7/14/2010, 1500 Jefferson Davis Highway. Between 3 pm on July 9, and 7 am on July 12, an unknown subject entered several locked rooms in a building and stole a television. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 7/14/2010, 1800 block of N. Culpeper Street. Between midnight on July 1, and 8 am on July 13, an unknown person entered a closed porch and moved items. There are no known suspects.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 7/14/2010, N. Quincy Street at Washington Boulevard. On July 13 at 9:30 pm, a woman was running when an unknown man smacked her on her buttocks. The suspect was described as a white Hispanic male, short and stocky, in his mid to late 20s. He was wearing a t-shirt, long shorts, a dark colored ball cap, and carried a black backpack.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/12/2010, 2500-2600 blocks of S. Lynn Street. Between 10:30 pm on July 9 and 7 am on July 10, an unknown subject broke into two vehicles in the same area by smashing the rear window. Various items were stolen from one car. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 7/12/2010, 4000 block of Old Dominion Drive. Between 11 pm on July 9, and 6 am on July 10, an unknown subject broke into a gas station and stole currency. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 7/12/2010, 4000 block of Washington Boulevard. Between 4:45 pm on July 9 and 6 pm on July 10, an unknown person forcibly entered an apartment complex. No items were taken, but the door was damaged during the entry. There are no known suspects.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 7/12/2010, 3700 block of Columbia Pike. On July 10 at 2:20 am, a man broke into his ex-girlfriends apartment by smashing a window. Police located him at the scene. Yassine Bencherki, 21, of Arlington, was charged with unlawful Entry and Destruction of Property. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

ASSAULT, 7/12/2010, 1000 block of N. Fillmore Street. On July 9 at 4:30 pm, an unknown male spit on another male during an argument. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-50s, 5'8" and 200 lbs. he was wearing a light colored t-shirt and jeans.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 7/12/2010, 1100 block of S. Wakefield Street. On July 10 at 7:45 pm, a man walked out of his apartment and was assaulted by an unknown subject for no apparent reason. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 6' and 175 lbs. He was wearing a blue soccer jersey and yellow shorts.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 7/12/2010, 1300 block of S. Thomas Street. On July 11 at 3 am, a man broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment, assaulted her and her current boyfriend, and threatened her with a knife. The suspect then fled. Warrants for Malicious Wounding, Assault and Battery and Burglary are on file for Daniel Payes-Aguirre, 27, of no fixed address.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 7/9/2010, 1900 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 6 pm on July 7, and 8:45 am on July 8, an unknown person broke into an office suite and stole several computers. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY-ARREST, 7/9/2010, 1100 block of N. Vernon Street. On July 8 3 am, a man was found attempting to steal a bicycle from an attached garage. Timothy Roberson, 39, of Washington D.C., was charged with burglary. He was held without bond.

ROBBERY-ARREST, 7/9/2010, 4500 block of Four Mile Run Drive. On June 29 at 6 pm, a known subject stole a man's phone. The suspect was located and charged on July 8, 2010. Marlyn Franco, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 7/9/2010, 2700 block of S. Oakland Street. On July 8 at 4:45 pm, a man assaulted a mechanic and attempted to run him over with a vehicle. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his mid-twenties, 5'6" and 175 lbs. He was wearing a striped yellow t-shirt and jeans.

ROBBERY, 7/8/2010, 1300 block of S. Joyce Street. On July 7 at 8:45 pm, an unknown man approached a female. He demanded a ring she was wearing and displayed some type of knife before fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as an African American male, 25 years old, and 5'7" with a thin build. He was wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt and jeans.

GRAND LARCENY (SERIES), 7/7/2010, 1200 block N. Rolfe Street and 1500 block N. 12th Street. Between July 3, and 5 pm on July 5, and unknown subject broke into laundry machines at several apartment complexes. There is no known suspect description.

BURGLARY, 7/7/2010, 600 block of S. 26th Street. Between 9:30 pm on July 4, and 10 pm on July 5, an unknown subject may have entered a house and stolen a wallet. There was no sign of forced entry and there are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/6/2010, 1800 block of N. Scott Street. Between 10 pm on July 1, and 7 am on July 2, an unknown subject broke into or damaged at least three cars in the same parking garage. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects.

GRAND LARCENY-ARREST, 7/6/2010, 3200 block of S. Eads Street. On July 3 at 9 am, police located two men stealing items from an electrical power sub-station. Timothy Lutz, 32, of Arlington, was charged with Grand Larceny, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Trespassing. Christopher Rouse, 33, of Fairfax was charged with Grand Larceny, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Trespassing and Possession of a Concealed Weapon by a Felon. Lutz was held on a $10,000 bond and Rouse was held without bond.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 7/6/2010, 300 block of N. Piedmont Street. On July 4 at 10:45 pm, an unknown subject attempted to enter an apartment through a window. The suspect fled when the homeowner entered the room. There is no further suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 7/6/2010, 6700 block of Lee Highway. Between 8:30 pm on July 2 and 7:20 am on July 3, an unknown person broke into a business and stole currency. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 7/6/2010, 900 block of N. Stuart Street. On July 2 between 10 am and 1:30 pm, an unknown person entered an apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 7/6/2010, 2100 block of S. Monroe Street. On July 5 at 3:30 am, a man assaulted an officer investigating a call about disorderly behavior. Talifferro Gatling, 37, of Waldorf, MD, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 7/6/2010, 1000 block of S. Walter Reed Drive. On July 4 at 11 pm, police responded to an apartment to assist county fire marshals. A subject assaulted an officer by slamming a door on the officer?s hand. David Chandler, 29, of Arlington, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY, 7/6/2010, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. On July 4 at 3 am, an unknown subject approached a man sitting in a parked vehicle. The suspect opened the passenger door of the car and assaulted the victim. The suspect fled when the victim yelled for help. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s, 5'8" with a medium build. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue shorts, and carried a backpack.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 7/6/2010, 3700 block of Four Mile Run Drive. On July 4 at 12:45 am, a known subject assaulted his former girlfriend with a hammer and stole her car keys. Warrants were obtained for Tearl Avery, 55, of Arlington, for Malicious Wounding and Larceny from a Person.

BURGLARY, 7/2/2010, 900 block of N. Stuart Street. On July 1 between 7:40 am and 7 pm, an unknown subject entered and unlocked apartment and stole various items.

ROBBERY, 7/2/2010, 700 block of N. Tazewell Street. On July 2 at 1:15 am, a cab driver drove a man and woman into Arlington. The male suspect assaulted the driver and stole money from his pocket. The suspect was an African American male with a large build wearing dark clothing.

BURGLARY, 7/1/2010, 2400 block of Shirlington Road. On July 1 at 2:30 am, an officer noticed that the glass door to the business was smashed in. It was discovered that the ATM inside was broken into and all of the money was stolen. The suspects were heavyset males, with black masks and dark long sleeved shirts.

BURGLARY, 7/1/2010, 3700 block of Columbia Pike. On July 1 at 2:30 am, the victim awoke to an unknown male in his bedroom. The suspect fled the apartment with several items. The suspect is described as an unknown race male, 5'7" and 130 lbs, wearing a blue and white t-shirt and jeans.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 7/1/2010, 3700 block of Columbia Pike. On July 1 at 12:00 am, while being detained for public intoxication, a suspect bit an officer. Domingo Chicas-Amaya, 26, of Alexandria, was charged with Assault on a Police Officer and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $3,500 bond.
